What Are My Current Favourite Names?! || Baby Names "Tag" Questions

I am not pregnant but I saw a blog post a while ago with some questions of a tag called The Baby Names Tag and the girl that did it had no kids of her own either but I still thought it would be weird if I did it. Recently, however, I have seen some questions all titled the Baby Names Tag on YouTube and on other blogs so I decided I would pick out some questions from some of these videos and posts and answer a bunch here.  THE QUESTIONS: 1. If you had a baby tomorrow, what would you call them? Boy & Girl? This is so hard because I love so many names but a couple of boys names I have always loved are Mark, James, and Daniel. For girls, I love the names Jane, Diana, and Alisha. 2. What would you rename yourself keeping your same first initial? I would rename myself Jessica. I love the name Jessica. 3. What would you have been/wish you had been called if you were the opposite gender? I don't know what I would have been called if I was a boy but I like the sound of the n...

Heartbeat || Short Story (Part Three)

"I just received a message from your older brother, Jasmine. He is coming home on the next train tomorrow with your cousins Max and Rowan and apparently he has a surprise for you, as you have not been feeling yourself latley. None of them would tell me what it was." her mother said, pouring herself a cup of tea, "I won't be able to pick them up, so do you think you could make time tomorrow to get them." Jasmine agreed. She hadn't seen her older brother, Jordan, in about a year as her father and him had had a big argument last Christmas and both of them had waited for the other to apologize but as soon as he had news about Edward and Jasmine's wedding he knew he had to make a visit and Max and Rowan both wanted to join him. The rest of the family were going to make the journey as Jasmine's big day got closer.  Jasmine prepared the horse and buggy to go down to the station the next day. She wondered what the surprise was, as she rode the buggy do...

Heartbeat || Short Story (Part Two)

The memorial service of Edward Wylds had just ended and everyone was starting to leave. The service had taken so long to organise, as family members and friends had to travel from near and far to get together for the occasion. Jasmine and Charlotte left together. They went back to the Wyld's house for tea and cake and to look through old photos of Edward, and share old memories. The sun was starting to set when Jasmine finally got up and headed home. It had now been four weeks since she had found out about the passing of Edward yet to Jasmine it didn't feel like it had fully sunk in. To her it still seemed like a nightmare and that any moment she would see Edward walk down the road or into her house and surprise her. She dreamed of this happening so much, yet deep down she knew it never would.  Everyone around her was letting her have all the time she needed. Everyone, that is, except her father. A couple days later, Jasmine got home from working with her mother, to find ...

Heartbeat || Short Story (Part One)

Jasmine Peters read the letter in silence, a tear tricking down her pale cheeks. She crumpled it up, and threw it across the room. It couldn't be true. It was a lie. She knew it wasn't true. Yes, she knew that young men died in this war all the time but not her fiancĂ©. Not Edward Wylds.  "Oh, please Lord, don't let this be true. Not Edward." she covered her face with her hands and burst into tears. "The car is packed" Jasmine's mother said, entering the room, of the hotel that they had been staying in that night, "Wait, honey what's wrong?" "Why didn't you give me that letter yesterday?" Jasmine shouted at her mother, pointing at the crumpled paper that now lay by the dressing table, "That letter was for me and you didn't give it to me." "Oh, honey, I wanted to wait until we got home. I didn't want to ruin your last day of this trip with that news." her mother was by her side in a second...

It's Autumn!!

Image
Autumn started officially on the  23rd of September, so in today's post I decided to answer some autumn related "tag" questions. I found the questions on another blog I came across.  Feel free to leave your own answers to these questions in the comments below.  Here are the questions, along with my answers: 1. Favorite Fall scent. My favourite scents are cinnamon, pumpkin and apple.  2. Best way to spend a rainy day. Inside, under some warm covers, reading a book or watching a movie.  3. Favorite Fall Drink. Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.  4. Do you celebrate Halloween, and if yes what are you dressing up as this year? I don't celebrate Halloween. And even if I did, I am not a huge fan of dressing up anyway... 5. Favourite article of clothing in the Fall. Warm sweaters and scarfs. 6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze? I don't celebrate Halloween and these are all Halloween related things, I think, but if...
