I Love Being An Aunt...💖

Image
Kids make life more exciting. Just being able to watch them grow, learn and play is such an amazing and enjoyable experience. I love babies and kids in general, watching them run around a playground or in their push chairs around town or on the bus but being able to watch my niece and see her everyday is the absolute best.  Being a parent, especially when the child is very young, isn't easy at all, especially when you have work and friends to balance too but in some ways being an aunt is like being a second mother, without the actual stress. I get to feed her, and play with her and even occasionally calm her down when she is in a fuss or crying.  Every moment with the little bundle of joy is extremely special, but two of my many favourite moments are the first time I ever held her, in the hospital, and when I was trusted by my sister to look after he daughter in her apartment when she and her husband went out one evening, even though the little love did make a hug...

What I've Been Watching On Netflix|| Just One More Episode

Image
I'm always looking for new series to watch so I thought I'd share a list of some things I have been loving on Netflix, and maybe you'll find something you might enjoy. I'd love it if you shared some of your favourite shows that you've been watching too, so I have some ideas to add to my list.  F.R.I.E.N.D.S If you've never watched at least a clip from this show then I will be very surprised.  This is one of my favourite series ever and I must say I'm a really big fan.  I even have a couple Friends t-shirts.  If you don't know this show is about six friends: Ross, Monica, Rachel, Pheobe, Chandler, and Joey and their ups and downs of life and their ongoing friendship.  My favourite characters are Ross, Chandler and Rachel. Brooklyn 99 This show was recommended to me by a friend of mine, and I was hooked ever since I started watching it. It's funny and the characters are hard not to love. It is set in a Police Depart...

Doing What's Best 👶|| Short Story

Twenty year old Rosanna  closed the door quietly behind her as she left, tears streaming down her face. It was really hard leaving her behind, but she knew that for both of them right now that letting go was what was best.  * Two months ago she had been welcomed into the home of Joanne and Alex Rogers, and their twins, when she needed a place to stay with her month old daughter, after her baby's father left them for another women.  She had gotten a job in the local hotel, as a waitress, and Joanne looked after little Julia when she worked.  But things had gotten harder when the hotel started to let some of their staff go due to money problems. Rosanna knew that her job was unsteady and any day the day could come that she may have no work at all. But she knew that she had to do what was best for her baby. Julia was all she had. The most important person in her life. Her parents had kicked her out as soon as they had found out she was pregnant, which led he...

My Current Favourites (June 2019)

Image
I love reading other blog posts and watching YouTube Videos of people talking about their favourite products and other things they have been loving so I thought I would do my own. So, here are a couple of my current favourites.  Beauty Products:  Zoella Beauty Peach Body Sorbet. This was actually a gift from my sister, and she got it from England.  It smells amazing and I have used it every day since I got it.  Mango Shower Gel from The Body Shop. It smells amazing, and I really should have brought a bigger  bottle because I use it way too much. I also love the mini mango bath bombs,  also from The Body Shop.  Ariana Grande's Sweet Like Candy roll on  perfume. I was going to get the spray version but it was much more expensive. I love the size of this one, however, because  it is the perfect for travelling.  My dad got this for me, and I use it so much that sadly it's almost finished. It's been ...

Avengers: Endgame|| My Thoughts & Ratings 🍿

Image
Not that long ago I would have very quickly turned down watching this sort of movie because I was so sure I wouldn't be interested in them, and I used to be very particular about the films I liked to watch. But with a lot of pushing from my dad and brother, and comments about movies from one of my best friends, I finally gave in and decided to give them a try. And I for sure had been missing out, even though I haven't seen many of them yet at all. But because of this I now have a lot of movies I need to catch up on, so if anyone is up for a long movie night hit me up!  I haven't seen any of the other Avengers movies, because of my selective choices of movies, so I must admit I was a little lost in some parts of the movie as they referenced the previous movies in this one. But I really enjoyed the movie, and I really need to watch the others. It's always entertaining going to the cinema, but I wasn't expecting to actually enjoy the movie as much as I did. And even t...

I Was Homeschooled..|| Get To Know Me

Image
When I have mentioned to people before that I was home-schooled I'd often get comments like, "I guess you got to just sleep and relax all day and do nothing" or "How do you cope with that? I wouldn't ever be able to do that, with my siblings and mum". So, I should clear up both of these before I continue. I didn't get to sleep all day and do nothing. I defiantly had lessons and plenty of work to do, even though I do admit I often would do my work in my pyjamas if I could. And about coping, I must admit it wasn't always easy having two younger brothers around all the time, even though I wouldn't have changed it for anything. And also there were times there would be arguments and falling outs with my mum over my work but I loved having her as my teacher and encourager with all my work.  I have been home-schooled on and off for my whole school career. We would study from a course my mum would have or use online school sites. I was part of a...

My Top 10 Favorite Movies-Musicals 🍿

Image
Everyone loves to sit back and watch a good movie, especially after a long week of school or work. My favourite genre of movies are romance but I love musicals too.  Here is a list of my Top 10 Musicals, along with my favourite song from each one, but they aren't in order as that's too impossible to do.  My Favourite Musicals  1) My favourite actress is Julie Andrews, and my favourite movie starring her has to be The Sound Of Music. If you haven't seen it you are defiantly missing out. My favourite song from the movie is "My Favourite Things" followed by "Sixteen Going On Seventeen"  2) Also starring Julie Andrews, Mary Poppins. The original, in my opinion, is so much better than the second one. I'm sure most of you have seen this movie. It's defiantly a classic. My favourite song in the movie is, "Let's go fly a kite" and "I love to laugh".  3) Fiddler On The Roof. I absolutely love this movie. ...
