Interviewing My Friends #1: Louissa

I have talked a lot about myself on my blog, and I know that is what people usually do when they start a blog or something similar, and I wanted to change things up a little. I decided to interview a few of my friends and here is my first interview, with my friend Louissa.  1. Where are you from and what did you like most and least there? I’m originally from Brighton and Hove. I’d say one of the things I really like about Brighton is the beach. I also really like the diversity. People from all over the world come to Brighton and it’s so cool that you always hear people talking in another language whenever you go into the centre of town. I’d say one thing I don’t like about Brighton is that some people see it as a place with a bad reputation. 2. You home-schooled? For how long and did you enjoy it? I home-schooled for four years part-time, and then two years full-time. I enjoyed it, but I’d say I definitely prefer going to school. Even so, I think that the skills I gai...

A Week In Italy| Family Holiday,Summer 2017

Image
This summer we spent a week in Italy, basing ourselves in a hotel in Padua. We arrived on Tuesday, 8th August, and left on the Sunday. Tuesday: We arrived by train, which went directly to Padua. It was a long train journey, and we spent the time playing on our phones, reading or sleeping. I also got to watch one of my favourite movies which is, "Fiddler On The Roof". It is about 3 hours long, which was a perfect length movie to watch on a long journey. When we arrived we went straight to the hotel and rested for a bit, while we decided where to eat. We stayed in a hotel called Hotel Galileo, Best Western. For dinner we went to a nearby Pizzeria, which we all enjoyed. Nobody can go to Italy without having at least one pizza while they are there. Then after eating, we headed into the centre and walked around a bit before getting a taxi back to the hotel. We even got an ice cream while walking around. There were a lot of ice cream places everywhe...

Outside Cinema With Cousins & My Movie Review

Image
On Friday the 21st of  July,my uncle, and my auntie along with three of my cousins visited my family here in Switzerland, and for their first evening here my siblings, cousins and I went to an outside cinema, which was set up just for a month this Summer, to see Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.  I am sure that we  all enjoyed the movie but the downside of the evening is that it rained. And as it was all outside, we were all soaked. When we arrived we were actually surprised that a lot of people had turned up and braved the rain, but thinking about it things are very expensive in this country and once you have payed for something you feel you have to go through with your plans, no matter what the weather. While waiting for the film to start we found some seats, which were wet, and we all sat down and started to joke about the rain and how it was the, "worst day of our lives" and that "it would be like we were at sea with the pirates".  O...

Family Holiday Memories: Travelling, Holiday Mishaps & Seeing Extended Family ✈️

Image
My favourite times of the year are the holidays. I am sure everyone loves some time to spend with friends and family, either relaxing at home or travelling across the world to a new place to explore. Some of my favourite holidays have been family holidays, either visiting extended family back home, in England, or travelling to a new destination altogether. Two years ago, I went to Prince Edward Island, with my dad to celebrate my 18th birthday. I enjoyed everything about that holiday except the flying. I don't actually mind flying but the idea of being that high up in the air, in a machine where anything could happen, and not being completely in control is the scary part. But, that holiday, even though it was not with my whole family has been one of my favourite holidays to this day. And I am really grateful that my dad took the time out of his busy schedule to take me to a destination that some of my favourite books, and movies, are based in. I had the most amazing time t...
