My December Favourites

Image
I thought I would share some of my favourites from this month.... TV Show: I always go back and re-watch FRIENDS, and  I really got into Rick and Morty (after starting to watch it with my boyfriend).  Book: I have been finding it really difficult to get into books recently. I also find it really hard to read multiple books at the same time and as I am studying Literature this year on The Open University and have to read books for that I haven't  really been reading any other books but last time I was at my boyfriend's place he had to go out for a couple hours and when he was out I started reading "Finding Audrey"  by Sophie Kinsella and got really into it. I read the whole book in 3 days, which is the fastest I've read a book in ages.  I have also been into the Popshot magazine, which is a magazine of short stories and poetry. I love reading the stories from those...even though they don't count as books.  Film: I have watched a number of movies this ...

I Hope You All Had A Good Christmas... 🎄

Image
I hope you all had a good Christmas, even though I am sure things were very different this year than it has been for previous years.  My Christmas Day consisted of a lot of delicious food, made by my mum, sister and brother in law, Christmas songs played on full volume, a lot of excitement from my little niece, card games, and trying to watch a movie which didn't go very well... And we all ate so much chocolate. We still have so much chocolate left. I think we will have enough chocolate for many weeks to come. We didn't have a snowy Christmas Day, but I hear that there is meant to be snow over the following days. I just hope there won't be tons of snow when I go back to work because I don't fancy walking through the snow or along the icy roads.  And this was our homemade Christmas Pudding, made by my mum, which we ended our evening with. It was delicious!!  Hmmm...thinking about it now, I really want some more!!            ⛄ Oh, and thi...

A "Little" Christmas Haul 🛍️- Countdown To Christmas

Image
I love shopping. Maybe I love it a little too much. I thought I would share some of the things I have brought recently, maybe it will help you find some last minute gifts for your friends and family for Christmas, or maybe a gift for yourself. Anyway, let's just get started with my "little" haul...  My two loves: Starbucks & Shopping.   The Body Shop: Lush: -I really shouldn't have done this over my bed. The first one was so glittery and it got on my cover and all over my hands...- H&M: The red and white socks are so fluffy, I love them! I also got a couple sweaters- a yellow one (which I have worn a couple times already), a blue one and a fluffy one... Flying Tiger:  I love this mug so much. I have used it a couple times already. I love big mugs like this. It could be used for hot drinks, obviously, but also could be used as a bowl. It's the perfect mug!! Other small things I got: - Face masks  -Lip Gloss  -Hand Cream -Hot Chocolate Spoons, a...

What are your favourite things about Christmas?🎄 - Countdown To Christmas

Image
I haven't been very good with this daily posting thing, have I! I haven't posted in ages...but I'm back and Christmas is next week (where did the time go?!) so I really want to try post as much as I can before then...but no promises.  Today I thought I would share some of my favourite things about Christmas...well the time leading up to Christmas Day... The Christmas Market (which didn't happen this year), the Christmas decorations up around town or outside people's homes. I feel in Switzerland people don't get into decorating the outside of their houses much, well not that I've seen, but I still love seeing what they do put up. I also love all the Christmas themed items in the shops...especially Christmas Sweaters, The Body Shop Products and the Lush festive bath bombs.  The Starbucks Christmas Drinks. I am basically obsessed with Starbucks and I love their Christmas drinks, especially the Toffee Nut Latte. I always get excited for them to come out...even t...

What To Do In Winter Where I Live....🎄- Countdown To Christmas

Image
The Snow On My Road, And In My Garden, This First Week  Of December.  In Switzerland there is one thing you always know for sure. When it's winter it is going to snow.  I am not really a fan of snow. I like it when I am inside the house, in the warmth, but I don't really like being out in it because I hate the cold. But I am always taking video clips or photos because it really does look beautiful. A lot of people go skiing or snowboarding around this time of  year. And sledding too. I am terrible at skiing, I always fall and hurt myself or just embarrass myself in front of strangers and I have never been snowboarding. Sledding is ok, but again I don't like being out in the cold.  There are spots close to where I live where you can easily go sledding but you have to go further out, into the mountains, to go skiing or snowboarding.  Starbucks is popular here, like I feel it is in most countries. And of course they have the seasonal Christmas drinks. I love g...

The Christmas Tag 🎄- Countdown To Christmas

I thought I would try do Blogmas this year, which is posting everyday until Christmas.  Let's see how this goes... Today, I thought I would start simple and do the Christmas Tag. Welcomed in the first day of December with the first snow of the year!!   ☃️ I have the Christmas songs playing, let's answer some questions.... 1- What was the best Christmas gift you have ever been given? I think probably my Onesie. I love it. Its purple, soft and warm!! Oh, and my first camera. It's small, red, and really cute. I love that little camera.  2- Be honest: do you prefer giving or receiving gifts better? 100% love giving gifts better.  I love giving gifts to people.  3- Do you open presents on Christmas Eve? We always opened them on Christmas Day, as far as I remember, but we don't do Christmas gifts really anymore. But when with extended family we might be given something and maybe open it when we get them or wait until Christmas.  4- Have you ever made a snowm...
