Christmas Day & Dinner

Image
The holidays are here. Christmas Day today. Hope you all had a great day. My family and I don't really celebrate but we did enjoy today. We are in England, and today we had a lovley breakfast, watched The Croods, and lots of TV and went out for Christmas Dinner. Christmas Dinner?! It was lovley. A really nice meal. We sent in our orders a couple days ago so we knew what we were getting to ear when we sat down. We had a 3 course meal. For the starter I had Guineu Fowl and the rest of my family had scallops. This was followed by Turkey, for myself, dad and brothers. My mum had Halibut, which she had changed from her original  Turkey decision a day or two ago, and my sister had Beef Wellington. For dessert all six of us had Christmas Pudding. The meal was amazing, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. Now, we are back at the hotel watching TV and munching on popcorn.

Saving The Stranger| Short Story (Part One)

It was a warm spring day and outside the birds were singing. Jessica stood alone in the cold and dim underground station, after spending the Saturday morning shopping, in London, with her friends, and waited for the train to come. The world seemed to be at peace, but Jessica felt strange, as if something bad was about to happen. Something bad. She shrugged, and got onto the packed train.  Surprisingly, she found an empty seat beside a young man, of about twenty. He was wearing a navy blue cap and a black coat, which was strange as it was rather too warm to be wearing a coat. He was reading the Daily Mirror newspaper, and seemed to be very interested in it as he did not look up once. But as she looked at the young man, she was sure she had seen him before. Somehow, he did not look like one of those men that worked in London. He l...

The Secret Gift| Short Story

It was December and the snow was falling outside. I sat in my room with wrapping paper, tape, scissors, and sweets everywhere. There was mess everywhere, which I was greatly annoyed by. The gift was not meant to be this hard to put together. I put the chocolate and sweets in a small box and wrapped it up. Then started to wrap it up. I groaned, it looked awful. All lumpy with patches of ripped wrapping paper. I tore off the paper and looked around for another way to wrap the gift up. "Maybe I shouldn't do it. It is a stupid idea. He won't even thank me for it. I mean, he won't even know it is from me so he will not be able to thank me for it. What if someone saw me leave it by the classroom door? I would never live it down." I said to myself. I grabbed a Twix, and sat on my bed with my laptop. I opened up Youtube and searched for something to watch but I could not get the idea of doing this Secret Christmas Gift out of my head. I looked over at the mess, and si...
