Last Minute DIY Christmas Gift Ideas|| Countdown To Christmas
It's almost Christmas and people have been, and still are, rushing around trying to find gifts for all their friends and family. If you still haven't finished your Christmas shopping and need ideas or don't have much money here are some easy ideas you could do. Plus, they are more creative then just buying something off a shop shelf.
If you don't celebrate Christmas these ideas are also great for birthdays, or any other occasion for giving someone a gift.
This list are ideas from things I have done and a couple I have seen online too.
Gift #1: Movie Night In A Box
(I used a gift bag for this when I gave it to my friend, a couple years ago, but I think it would be better in a shoebox...)
I got a gift bag and inside I put a DVD that I thought my friend would like. I also included a bag of microwave popcorn, some chocolate and sweets, and a card. It was very simple and easy and my friend loved it. You could put anything else inside that you think would be nice for a movie night. You could also include movie tickets for the cinema too, so you and your friend could enjoy it together.
Gift #2: Candy Jar
This one is really simple. Just get a jar, or a tin, and fill it with chocolates and sweets that the receiver would like. I gave this to my dad for his birthday a year ago. In this particular jar, to my dad, I included Reese's, a crunchie, a bag of nuts, mini snickers and bounty, pack of mints, and a mini chocolate bear.
Gift #3: Spa Night In A Box/Pamper Kit
This idea is a simple one too.
Buy a bunch of face masks, lip glosses, candles and anything else you think would be nice to include in a spa/pamper kit. Put everything in a nicely decorated box or gift bag.
Gift #3: Bake them something
This gift is always a good idea. You get to bake, and if you enjoy baking it is a lot of fun. And it shows that you put a lot of effort into it. You could also even bake with your friend, so you could enjoy doing something together.
If you need an idea of something to bake, I have a recipe for my favourite cookie recipe you might like to try.
Here's the link for that: https://theislandbaker.blogspot.com/2018/10/my-favourite-chocolate-chip-cookie.html
Gift #4: Open When Letters
This picture isn't mine, I got it from Pinterest. I have done this for a friend before, and I really love this idea. It's very simple but basically all you do is you have any number of envelopes you want and write on the front the reason for when they should open it, for example "open when you can't sleep" and inside you write a letter or note related to the reason on the front of the envelope and also include quotes and gifts related to the reason too. For example inside an envelope labelled "open when you miss me" you could include a photo of you and your friend and maybe an inside joke or quote too.
Gift #5: 365 Note Jar
I love this one. You just need a jar and paper and write a note for every day of the year for the person you are giving this gift too. Each morning they pick out one piece of paper and read the note to make them smile or give them a little encouragement throughout their day.
Gift #6: Cookie Mix In A Jar
This idea is from Pinterest too, and its really easy.
You get a jar and layer the dry ingredients to the cookie recipe you choose.
Include a card, or gift tag, that includes the recipe and the amount of wet ingredients that they will need to add to make the cookies.
This is a great gift to give someone who loves baking, and is also great if you aren't too confident in baking yourself.
That's all the ideas I have for now.
Pinterest is a great place if you need more ideas.
Hope you found something that gives you an idea for a gift for a friend, or family member.
