The Greatest Showman| My Ratings & Thoughts
I saw The Greatest Showman in the cinema, with my brothers and parents, on the Third of February. I was going to write this post much earlier but I never got round to it, so here it is now. This post is going to be a little different from my other reviews, and I also don't really want to give anything away for those who have not watched it yet. But if you haven't seen it, you really should as it was really really good.
After we watched it, and we were in the car on the way home, my dad asked us all what we would rate the movie out of ten and my answer was eleven and I my brothers got annoyed as eleven out of ten is not possible. Anyway, I am not changing that. It is still, an eleven out of ten.
I loved the colours, and the cast, and the music and the acting. In fact, I wanted to re-watch it before the movie was even finished. I love romance, musicals and historic movies and this covered each of these, some more than others. It was a musical, for sure, and there was romance in it too, and it is loosely based on P. T. Barnum.
I wanted to watch the movie very soon after I first heard about it, and there was no movie on my families side to watch it so I refused to listen to any of the songs, or see the trailer for a long time. Then some of my online friends and some people I follow on Instagram kept going on about the movie and the songs and then I gave in and watched the trailer and from then I must say I was pretty much obsessed.
The movie stars
Zendaya, who I had heard of before but never really linked her to a face for ages,
Zac Efron, who I fell in love with from the moment I first watched High School Musical,
Hugh Jackman, who I had heard of before but never really paid much notice-and now I am kind of obsessed with him...
he was amazing in the movie...
utterly amazing.
He has an amazing singing voice too.
And, oh...
I can't forget Keala Settle, as she is amazing too.....
The whole cast was amazing!
So, as I said before I rate the movie a 11/10.
I would rate the dancing and songs a 9/10 or maybe even a 10/10.
And the cast a 9/10
I know, I gave very high ratings.
I can't help it.
I just loved everything about this movie.
My favourite characters were B.T Barnum, Lettie Lutz, and Tom Thumb.
My favourite song in the movie was The Other Side, which was sung by Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron in the movie.
Then for me came the most popular song This Is Me, and then A Million Dreams.
But of course, I love all the songs.
And have the soundtrack on my phone and listen to them a lot, especially "The Other Side"
Who isn't playing them all the time, at the moment?
And, for those who have not seen the movie...again I think you should see it. I am sure you will really enjoy it.
If you haven't seen the trailer, here it is:
And, if you have seen the movie I would love to know what you thought.
Which was your favourite song?
Do you want to see it again?
